Woo! This was a super fun collab that WalkingMelonsAAA and I just finished!
We had talked about wanting to do another collaboration together and finally decided on Yellow Diamond. Both of us are in a Steven Universe hype since they had dropped the last 5 episodes.
Alyssa does plan to do her own version of Yellow Diamond as well, but we thought it would be fun to do this together.
For the collab, Alyssa did the sketch and over all composition of the piece. It was my job to do the pencil lines and colors. Because yellow is not a color that I use all that often, I did struggle a bit. Alyssa was kind enough to throw me a couple color options to play around with, which made it easier.
What's funny though is that I was trying to go for a green based piece...but by the time the piece was completed it was much more pink and orange. So funny how that happens!
You can see Alyssa's piece on her channel! If I remember correctly she is uploading hers shortly after mine.
When it comes to collaborations, personally I only do collabs with friends. I've had a few people ask me and I hate to say no, but I am so busy that it's hard to take on new projects ;.;
I work for THREE different companies currently. One doing video game design, one doing toy design, and the other for comics. I have quite a bit on my plate right now lol. Then you add in conventions, voice acting/singing lessons, my own art pieces I upload twice a week...Oh and commissions. Oh man, so many lol
*slowly dying*
but anyway! I'm just rambling at this point since its 12:32 AM and I'm uploading ahead of schedule. Tomorrows a huge day so no time to sit and upload. figured I would do it tonight
